for me the book of Revelation is the most exciting book of the bible as it contains within its pages all the details for Gods redemption of mankind ever since Adam and Eve's first act of rebellion caused separation from god and human mortality. The seven seals spoken about in the book are major events that progress human history toward the end of the world and the subsequent return of Christ to carry out God's ultimate plan for mankind. The time period known as the tribulation is also very connected to the seven seals and it would not be possible to discuss Christ's return, while excluding the Tribulation years. So for those of you who do not know the about the bible's apocalypse feel free to ask questions and I will answer them as best as I can.

What are the Seven Seals?
The Scroll with the Seven Seals originates from The Throne of God in heaven (Revelation 5:1), they are given in heaven to Jesus Christ for Him to open (Revelation 5:5-10), but they happen on earth (e.g. Revelation 5:10, 6:4).

well he won't be here on earth, so the only other place where he could possibly be would be in heaven. All of god's judgements well be issued from heaven, Jesus himself said that he sits at the right hand of his father. he will re enter human history to establish his kingdom on earth after the evens of the seven seals have been fulfilled.

they have a dual function, they are his plans for humanity's last days on earth and they also progress the planet toward the end of the world we know now and the beginning of a future where god and humanity are in direct contact as it was in the beginning; sin which separates us from god will be removed.

After the seven seals Jesus returns to earth to destroy the forces of evil. after this is done, Lucifer will be restrained in a place called the Abyss for 1000 years, while Jesus rules the planet directly. at the end on the 1000 years Satan will be set free for a short time before he is defeated once and for all.

well popular Christian belief is that before all this happens true followers of Christ will vanish from earth along with all those who have died believing that Jesus is God's son. Because this is still being debated you will be able to find argument that are for or against this belief; what I can tell you is that we are indeed very near the start of the Tribulation period. The European Union is one of these signs and also the is more and more talk of Jews rebuilding their temple! I must say that all of these very recent developments have excited me. If the pre tribulation believers are correct then the first seal has NOT be opened. But make no mistake, we are very very close to this event!

A voice accompanies the vision of the black horse and its rider. It announces: "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages.
Revelation describes a condition where basic goods are sold at greatly inflated prices. Thus, the black horse rider depicts times of deep scarcity or famine but not of starvation.

according to the Bible; the devil and his demons roam the planet in the atmosphere, this is one of the reasons why the devil is call ''prince of the air''

At present he is on earth where is deceives people into sin. The devil and demons do not rule hell; it is a place of punishment for them.

Sickness and death will spread across the world and animals will openly attack human beings intent on killing them.

God will never allow this to happen; the devil will almost succeed in his goal because the bible says that that the day is coming when man will become more rare than gold. it also says that the tribulation times will take such a severe toll on human life that god will shorten the days some that some will be saved. there is no way to say how many will survive but its gonna be a lot less than 6 billion.

The Sixth Seal Signs In The Heavens

God shows his anger with a civilization destroying earthquake, nature is violently disrupted. the stars falling from the sky sounds like a meteor shower. Again millions die but its not over yet.

Fire reduces vegetation and perhaps human ability to produce food, starvation looms.

Apollyon - destroyer, the name given to the king of the hosts represented by the locusts (Rev. 9:11). (http://www.worldsunited.net/../B66C009.htm#V11) It is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Abaddon.

He is one of the most evil demons in existence!

The antichrist is the false imitator of the true Christ, as He will return on a white horse (Revelation 19:11-16).

The second horseman of the apocalypse is spoken of in Revelation 6:4, "Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword." The second horseman refers to terrible warfare that will break out in the end times.

The third horseman is described in Revelation 6:5-6, “...and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!’” The third horseman of the apocalypse refers to a great famine that will take place, likely as a result of the wars from the second horseman. Food will be scarce, but luxuries such as wine and oil will still be readily available.

The fourth horseman is mentioned in Revelation 6:8, "I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." The fourth horseman of the apocalypse is symbolic of death and devastation. It seems to be a combination of the previous horsemen. The fourth horseman of the apocalypse will bring further warfare and terrible famines along with awful plagues and diseases. What is most amazing, or perhaps terrifying, is that the four horsemen of the apocalypse are just "precursors" of even worse judgements that come later in the Tribulation (Revelation chapters 8-9 and 16).

Angels freely serve God and carry out his commands, they do this because they recognise god to be the creator of the universe and as the creator he knows what is best.

I see what you are saying but...

John was a servant of God, just as all Christians are and Revelation is described as an open book, it is a revealing of the things to come hence the name Revelation No secrets here, the book can be understood if we know where to look. Why would he reveal something that he knew we could not understand?


Yes I do believe that we can go to god for an answer and he has already given us an answer in his word, God has spoken and will continue to speak with us through the bible and prayer until he returns and we see him with our own eyes.
