Is it just me or has rice got a lot more starchy recently ?
I have tried several brands, but no matter how much or little I wash it, it still gets really starchy
And I am not well up on rice, so how long should you cook brown rice for ?

hmm... interesting. I have seen both Basmati and Jasmine at the supermarket. I always choose Basmati... I think I will pick up a pack of Jasmine and check it out! lol
I had the Jasmine Rice. I can say it certainly does not make u feel too bloated!

Mmm, I love Basmati rice, but I think parboiled rice is supposed to be the healthiest...or brown rice. I just keep adding water to the rice whenever it is drying down. You can look at the rice, check the shape and size and taste a couple to see if it's the texture that you want it to be.
